MSc, PhD, Assistant Professor and Co-Director of INSCF
I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Pavia and Co-Director of INSCF. I completed my PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Milan in 2013, focusing on cell signaling in the striatum. From 2013 to 2023, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Cardiff University, specializing in behavioral neuropharmacology and exploring novel drug strategies for cognitive impairments in neurodegenerative diseases and addiction. I later integrated iPSCs and biomarker analysis into my research to develop diagnostic and therapeutic tools for neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly those linked to 16p11.2 copy number variants. I joined the University of Pavia in June 2024, where I continue advancing these research projects with a focus on bridging basic and translational neuroscience.
